The International University Campus in Paris (CIUP) accommodates forty-five students, researchers and academics of Swiss nationality each year, selected by the selection committee of the Fondation suisse in Berne.

Exchange Agreements (“Brassage”)

In addition to Swiss nationals, the Swiss Pavilion also receives many students from other nationalities through exchanges between residences. This exchange policy with other residences of the CIUP allows the Fondation suisse to accommodate students of different nationalities and, in turn, to send an equal number of Swiss students to stay in other residences on the CIUP.

We have exchange agreements with the residences of the following countries: Argentina, Belgium-Luxembourg, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and Tunisia.

Social interaction

The Fondation suisse is about more than just study and accommodation. It is also a place to get to know the other residents and enjoy each other’s company. The residence organises a number of events to help residents meet, such as Welcome night, the Christmas party, the Galette des rois and cultural events. We take care to provide personal hospitality for each resident and listen to individual needs, within the limits of the facilities and rules of the Fondation suisse.

The Residents’ committee

A residents’ committee is democratically elected at the start of each academic year.
